New Aussie Style Cafe Coming to Parsons Green

Stubby's inspired by founders' time working Down Under

Launching in Parsons Green Lane next month

June 22, 2026

A new Aussie inspired cafe, sandwich bar and deli is coming to Parsons Green Lane next month.

Stubby’s, named after the Australian nickname for beer bottles, is taking over the site which was formerly home to pan-Asian restaurant Freak Scene.

It is being launched by Oli Man and Greg Weaver, who already run a successful restaurant in Bermondsey called These Days Bar & Kitchen, launched in 2023. They say Stubby’s is inspired by their time working Down Under, and promise to bring the Australian tradition of relaxed, high-quality hospitality to Fulham.

Coffee will of course be a key part of the menu, with specialities such as cloud lattes, with flavours including blueberry and matcha and cold brew maple and sea salt alongside the usual choices of flat whites, cappuccinos and cortados.

The food will include salads and snacks, with the deli offering bakery items, homemade sauces and pickles. The freshly made sandwiches meanwhile, each with their own individual name, have been devised by head chef Greg, and promise some highly unusual fillings.

They include Barry, with Shiso porchetta, kare sauce, smacked cucumber on ciabatta; Tamsin, with: Koji chicken thigh, chilli crisp, salsa verde, iceberg lettuce, Parmesan on focaccia; Georgia with Mutton adobo, potato scraggle, pickled kohlrabi on ciabatta; and for veggies, Candice, with Tempura aubergine, black caramel, sugarsnaps, sage, goat’s cheese on focaccia.

There will also be a full cocktail menu, along with hand-selected wine from Australia’s Hunter Valley and New Zealand’s Marlborough region, and Aussie craft-beer, Byron Bay’s Stone & Wood, on tap. And of course there will also be Australian stubbies on offer, including Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught and Pacifico.

Oli and Greg say of their new venture: “ Inspired by the warm, relaxed hospitality culture we experienced in Sydney, we wanted to create a new neighbourhood spot built around great coffee, quality food, good drinks, and a space that’s made for connection.

“After 25 years of friendship and a decade working together. Launching Stubby’s in Parsons Green feels like coming home.”

Stubby’s is set to open its doors at 28 Parsons Green Lane, between the station and the junction with Fulham Road, on July 17.
