The attraction is at the entrance to the shopping centre
November 24, 2025
The illuminated sit in cab has become a familiar annual attraction at the entrance to Fulham Broadway shopping centre and is set to delight thousands of visitors in the run up to Christmas.
The cab is among the shopping centre decorations designed and installed by Christmas light company Field & Lawn, which says it has been illuminating towns, high streets, cities and commercial shopping centres with professional lighting solutions for over a decade.
The festive decorations, it says, include 16 1.8-metre-high free-standing Christmas trees, 80 metres of curtain lights to void spaces, 30 metres of balustrade lighting, 30 metres of atrium cluster lighting and of course, a stunning 3D hanging star decoration as a focal point.
As Fulham Broadway shopping centre says on its Instagram site,“ Twinkle, twinkle Fulham Broadway. The lights are on and the festive magic is real!”
Field & Lawn has also provided festive magic at Hammersmith Broadway shopping centre, with decorations which include light curtains and icicle lights covering three voids, various columns and as a centrepiece, a six metre high gold cone tree.
The undoubted star of the show however, is the stunning “Hammersmith Express” - a seven metre long walk through illuminated train, consisting of thousands of gold and silver lights and this year enhanced by the addition of two life sized toy soldiers.
Already thousands of shoppers have strolled through it, or posed for pictures under the lights. As the shopping centre says on its Instagram site, “ The twinkling train is back and basically shouting “take your selfie here!”
