A restaurant charging diners £200 a head is now open in Fulham.

Panta Rei, at 647 Fulham Road, west of Fulham Broadway, is a new fine dining establishment offering just one option - a ten course tasting menu.

The restaurant says guests may also “enhance their experience” with an expertly curated wine pairing at £125 per person.

It says, “ At Panta Rei in London, our tasting menu is crafted with carefully selected, exceptional ingredients, celebrating the best of each season. Reflecting our philosophy that everything flows, the menu evolves regularly to ensure every dining experience is unique.

“ We are pleased to accommodate vegetarian guests with the same creativity and care.”

For non-vegetarians, a typical tasting menu is as follows:

  • beef & capers
  • comte & black truffle
  • tuna & avocado
  • lobster
  • ravioli carbonara
  • turbot
  • beef & mushroom
  • melon & chilli
  • burrata & pistachio
  • petit fours

Panta Rei has been launched by Italian chef Lorenzo Salami, who says he found his passion for food while sitting around the family table enjoying the happiness and closeness that sharing a good meal brings to family members and friends.

In the past he has worked in London’s two Michelin star restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon and a two Michelin star restaurant  in Versailles owned by celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay, before returning to London to work in one star restaurant Hedone.

More recently, he worked as Royal Sous-Chef for the Household of TRH The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.

In 2021, Lorenzo launched Salami Events, a private chef and catering services company based in London, offering fine dining services in clients’ homes.

Launching Panta Rei, which means “everything flows”, he says:   “  As one of London’s most intimate fine dining restaurants, we offer an exclusive chef’s table where up to ten guests are seated together, sharing an innovative tasting menu that flows effortlessly from one dish to the next.”

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner experiences which begin promptly at 12:30pm and 8pm, and says: “ To preserve the flow of the menu and the experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you arrive on time.”

As well as the tasting menu, priced at £200 per person and the optional wine pairing at £125 per person, guests are asked to please note that a discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to the bill.
