The Kokodoo fried chicken chain was founded by Mary Yoon
December 22, 2025
Korean fried chicken restaurant Kokodoo is set to be Fulham’s first new launch of 2026, with the opening of a “flagship” site on January 16.
The new restaurant will offer both eat-in and takeaway options at 8 Fulham Broadway, premises formerly housing Sia Hair & Beauty.
The small chain, launched on food trucks in 2016 by Joseph and Mary Yoon, is a former winner at the British Street Food Awards which began expanding into new locations across London in 2022. Those locations include an outlet in Shoreditch and a food truck in Chiswick’s Business Park.
Now they say: “The flagship - marking a new chapter: our first purpose built space, created to elevate the craft behind our speciality Korean fried chicken.
“ Purposefully shaped, quietly confident, guided by a contemporary minimalism that reflects our streamlined, quality-led menu - celebrating a decade of refinement, a place made not just to serve food, but to share the feeling of Kokodoo, breaking the fried chicken blueprint.”
As this suggests, the restaurant promises a simple menu of chicken, burgers and wings with a range of sauces, from the very mild sweet and spicy Gochujang glaze to fiery chilli.
As the owners say: “ At Kokodoo, we keep it simple. A tight menu. Big flavours. No fillers.”
Kokodoo, on the west side of the Broadway close to the recently opened M&S Foodhall, will be open on Friday January 16 from 11am till 7pm.
