Common Pizza has joined the line-up of restaurants and cafes in Parsons Green Lane.

The restaurant  is the latest venture from Ollie Norcliffe, who also ran the eponymous Ollie’s House,  which had been on the site since 2022, m oving in when Megan’s transferred to large premises across the street.

Common Pizza, which got its name from its popular original open air restaurant on Clapham Common, offers diners the choice of thin crust “crispy and seriously singed” New York style pizzas or deep pan Detroit style.

Its pizzas are described in a range of colours - red, including Pepperoni, Margherita and Roasted Pepper; orange, offering Ollie’s own vodka sauce including the Vodka Swirl and the 18 +;  green, using a sauce made from basil, mozzarella and tomato, including Pesto Chicken; and white, with a base sauce using the house bechamel, including Mushroom and Gorgonzola and Cacio e Pepe.

Side dishes include Hot Honey Burrata, Popcorn Squid Bites and Mac and Cheese,  plus a choice of salads and there are also kids’ and gluten free menus.

Music is also on the menu, with the restaurant saying: “ From our subway-inspired booth, our urban hoop & hopscotch corners and our moody bar featuring a line-up of classic vinyls spanning hiphop, Motown, techno and Americana classics - our newest space pays homage to the soundtrack of Detroit and the streets of New York.”
