Chelsea supporters will once again bed down under the East Standas the Big Stamford Bridge Sleep Out returns for 2026, raising vital funds for two local charities working to end homelessness and support vulnerable veterans.
The overnight fundraiser – organised by the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust with the cooperation of Chelsea Football Club – has become a fixture in the club’s community calendar. In recent years it has generated tens of thousands of pounds for The Stoll Foundation and Barons Court Project, including more than £30,000 in 2025 alone.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday 28 March from 8pm, giving supporters the rare chance to sleep out inside Stamford Bridge while raising money for two organisations rooted in west London.
The Stoll Foundation provides housing and specialist support for vulnerable and disabled veterans, helping them rebuild independence and stability.
Barons Court Project, based in Hammersmith, supports people who are homeless or living with mental health conditions, offering food, advice, activities and long-term support.
All funds raised from the sleep out will be shared evenly between the two charities.
Up to 200 supporters will be able to take part, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must be over 18 and pledge to raise at least £50 in sponsorship.
Those taking part will spend the night under the East Stand, experiencing a small part of the hardship faced by people who sleep rough while helping raise money for frontline services.
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust said it was delighted to bring the event back for another year and encouraged fans to save the date while final details are confirmed.
Supporters planning to take part can register online to secure their place. Once signed up, participants can begin fundraising through their own JustGiving page.
The organisers have thanked everyone who has taken part in previous years and say they hope to surpass last year’s total as the need for homelessness and veterans’ support services continues to grow.
