Holland Park Opera singers are performing a free lunchtime concert on Thursday, 16 April at St John’s Church in North End Road.

This event is one of a series of free monthly Inspire concerts held at local venues ahead of Holland Park’s 2026 summer season.

The opera company says these hour-long concerts are relaxed performances and dementia-friendly, providing an hour of joy through music to promote the benefits of musical and social engagement, adding: “ We believe that high quality music should be accessible to all and so we offer these concerts free of charge.”

Tickets for the concert, taking place at 12.30pm till 1.30pm on Thursday, can be booked in advance or people can just walk in on the day. The opera company says it encourages those with access needs to book a ticket, so it can make contact in case of any venue accessibility changes.

Donations towards future concerts are welcome from those who are able to donate, but are not expected.

These community concerts will conclude next month at St Cuthbert’s in Philbeach Gardens on 6 May. Find out more at here.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

We’ve always done that and won’t be changing, in fact we’d like to do more.

However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.

We are therefore asking our readers to consider offering financial support to these efforts. Any money given will help support community and public interest news and the expansion of our coverage in this area.

One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.
