St John’s Fulham has unveiled its first programme of concerts for 2026, offering a rich mix of classical performance from emerging artists and established musicians. As in previous years, all events are free to attend, with donations invited in support of children with special educational needs in Fulham and the St John’s Building Fund — a combination that has helped turn the church’s concert series into one of the area’s most valued community arts initiatives.

The new season continues the church’s tradition of pairing high-quality music with an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere. Lunchtime recitals take place on the first Thursday of each month at 12.30pm, while Saturday evening concerts begin at 6.30pm. All performances are held at St John’s, North End Road, SW6.

Lunchtime Concerts – Thursdays at 12.30pm

The 2026 lunchtime series opens with three solo and chamber recitals showcasing young musicians at the start of exciting careers:

  • Thursday 8 January – Ruifan Xuan, Solo Piano
A programme of expressive piano works from a rising performer known for clarity of touch and thoughtful interpretation.
  • Thursday 5 February – Jason Ma (Cello) & Siyuan Xu (Piano)
A cello–piano duo presenting lyrical repertoire and virtuosic showpieces.
  • Thursday 5 March – Rishi Mirchandani, Solo Piano
A return to the keyboard for the March recital, featuring a wide-ranging selection of classical and contemporary works.

These informal daytime concerts have become a regular fixture for local residents, workers and parents, offering a peaceful cultural break in the middle of the week.

Saturday Evening Concerts – 6.30pm

The Saturday series brings larger-scale performances and themed events:

  • Saturday 17 January – Trio Musae: Beethoven Piano Trio
A full performance of one of Beethoven’s celebrated trios, delivered by an ensemble praised for its energy and precision.
  • Saturday 14 February – Valentine’s Day Love Songs
A special evening of romantic music featuring Katerina Oikonomou (coloratura soprano) and Julio Cancio (tenor) — a highlight for those looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day with live performance.
  • Saturday 14 March – Domenico Gioffre, Organ
A solo organ recital showcasing the breadth of the instrument and the acoustic character of St John’s.

The St John’s concerts have steadily built a loyal following, helped in part by the church’s commitment to accessibility and its support for local causes. The series also maintains a WhatsApp group for updates and reminders; those wishing to join can contact Meg on 07754 149870.
