A car that was allegedly stolen by two men careered into a hairdressers in Fulham this New Year’s Eve.

The white BMW 4x4 was being pursued by Metropolitan Police Officers when it refused to stop for them.

The vehicle was chased across west London before it crashed into MeMe’s at the junction of Fulham Road and North End Road at around 4am. The building frontage was severely damaged as well as the car.

No serious injuries have been reported.

The road was closed off to allow for the structural integrity of the building to be checked by London Fire Brigade. Traffic was diverted onto Dawes Road but all roads have since reopened.

The police say they arrested two people on suspicion of taking the vehicle without consent.
