Marks & Spencer has officially reopened in Fulham with the new 10,900 sq ft store opening its doors last Friday (21 November). The honours were done by H&F Mayor Cllr Sharon Holder with Percy Pig on hand to welcome the first wave of shoppers.

Located at 2–6 Fulham Broadway, the new branch occupies the former Whole Foods site, which operated there for a decade. Before that, the building housed the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant, once known for its ornamental stream and exotic décor — a far cry from today’s sleek retail layout.

The reopening marks M&S’s return to Fulham after a seven-year absence. Previous stores were located on North End Road and Jerdan Place, just across the road from the new site. Local residents have expressed enthusiasm for the comeback, especially with the festive season underway.

The food-led store features 6,600 product lines, including popular ranges like Plant Kitchen and Eat Well, and offers both staffed and self-service tills. Customers can also use in-store collection, and the floors will be maintained by robotic cleaners, adding a touch of automation to the shopping experience. The new store has created around 60 jobs.

M&S Retail Director Thinus Keeve said, “We want to bring more of that M&S magic to communities, and we’re doing it just in time for the festive season.”

The store’s opening hours are 7am–9pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am–4pm on Sundays.
