This year’s Jazz on the Lawn sees Chelsea’s 606 Club once again host two evenings of live music withing the gardens of Fulham Palace.

Since 2008, the music venue has presented the event and this year it is taking place on Friday 1 August and Saturday 2 August.

The Friday evening programme is ‘The Wonder of Stevie’ featuring singer Noel McCalla and , saxophonist Derek Nash. They are joined by their band to celebrate the music of Stevie Wonder. An award-winning player, Derek Nash is perhaps best known as one of the featured saxophonists with the Jools Holland Band and leader of “Sax Appeal”. Noel McCalla first came to prominence in the mid 80’s with the seminal Jazz/funk band Morrissey/Mullen, subsequently joining Manfred Mann’s ‘Earth Band’ with whom he toured and performed for almost 20 years.

Then on Saturday, the Liane Carrol Trio will perform. The artist ever to win two BBC Jazz Awards in the same year, for Best Vocalist and Best of Jazz, Liane Carroll is a dynamic vocalist and pianist. Recognised as one of the finest singer/pianists on the scene, she’s been featured at Glastonbury and worked with the likes of Gerry Rafferty, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Paul McCartney.

On both days, doors open at 6:30pm with performances beginning at 7:30pm.

You are invited to bring your own picnic and drink, although there is a full bar and food on sale if you choose not to.
