Harry, a new film from a Fulham-based film director is aiming to cause a stir at forthcoming national and international film festivals.
Focused on the issue of abuse of power in the workplace, it is also written and produced by 37-year-old Shyam Doonga.
Costing just £50,000 to make, the short film centres around an unhappily married recruitment manager called Harry with a penchant for post-interview relations with job applicants

It was shot on location around Central London’s Euston and Baker Street, as well as in Greenwich and Shooters Hill, stars Manchester-based actor, Vishal Handa, who appeared in the award-winning Netflix crime thriller, Kohrra as well as North London actress, Chantelle Hooley, who has appeared in theatre productions such as Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.
Shyam Doonga said, “I think that my new film is very topical and thought it would be interesting to depict the notion that nobody, irrespective of one’s background, can be immune from abusing their position of power over those subservient to them.
“I also wanted my film to relay the tortured complexity of the Asian lead character, Harry, and convey some key Indian cultural reference points within its story.
“I’m now really looking forward to seeing what audiences, film festival judges and the critics make of Harry.”
