Two new Italian restaurants are opening their doors within the next week, one in the centre of town and the second on Fulham’s riverside,

Brusketta is the newest addition to Fulham Broadway’s choice of restaurants, sitting a few yards east of the shopping centre at 450 Fulham Road, the site which has been empty since the departure of Nexus.

It promises authentic regional Italian dishes at reasonable prices, produced by a team of four Italians led by Daniele Siro. The menu includes a wide range of seafood, including oysters, calamari and tuna tartare, meat dishes including carpaccio and Pollo alla Milanese and of course pasta and salads, with prices starting under £10 for main courses and under £5 for starters and sides.

A breakfast menu, with a choice ranging from Full English to Shakshuka will be available from next week.

Daniele and his team are planning a Grand Opening for Brusketta on November 20, which is open to all. In the meantime, the restaurant is continuing its ‘soft opening’ from Wednesday, November 16 . You can check out the menu and book a table on the restaurant’s website.

Further south, Maria G’s is the first restaurant to open at the Fulham Riverside development, off Townmead Road. It is being launched by renowned chefs Robin Gill and Aaron Potter, who already have a branch serving modern Italian food off Warwick Road.

They say, “ Our new Fulham restaurant, launching in November, will offer a seafood-focused menu at an incredible setting right on the Thames Path with a terrace overlooking the river. “We’ll have a dedicated raw bar and a big focus on seafood, to celebrate both the fresh seafood dishes of the Amalfi coast and our waterside setting.”

The raw bar will include Connemara oysters and razor clams, while signature main courses include baked lobster, seafood fritto misto and mussels al forrno.

Both the restaurant and adjoining bar have their own outdoor terraces overlooking the river and bar manager Emmanuel Ferris-Hue promises to serve up spritzes, highballs, and classic Italian cocktails alongside a predominantly Italian wine list.

Chef Robin describes the restaurant’s setting as “ just incredible” and says, "I’m absolutely thrilled to share the new seafood-focused menu we’ve created for Fulham.”

Maria G's officially opens on Central Avenue, south of the large Sainsbury's store, on 22 November. Find out more on the restaurant’s website.
