Over the past two weeks the new enhanced Shepherds Bush Green 24/7 Safer Neighbourhoods Team have achieved some excellent results. This is despite having a number of officers on leave during the recent school holidays.

A total of 27 arrests have been made;
8 drugs offences
4 theft offences
6 for violence
6 for being wanted on warrant
3 for various other offences

High visibility patrols have also resulted in 112 stop and searches, 7 of these resulting in arrests. Approximately 50 wraps of crack cocaine, 22 bags of cannabis, £5000 worth of counterfeit goods, a cosh and a firearm have been seized by the team.

The team have robustly dealt with street drinkers and anti social behaviour in and around Shepherds Bush Green.

Two kilos of cannabis were recovered in Shepherds Bush.

On Tuesday 21st June 2011 officers from Hammersmith & Fulham Drugs Squad, Payback Unit and 1 Area TSG executed a search warrant to target a local drug dealer who was plying his trade in Shepherds Bush.

During a search of premises in St Stephens Avenue, Shepherds Bush police recovered 2 Kilos of Herbal Cannabis with a street value of approximately £5000.

Large quantities of cash, drug dealing paraphernalia, and enough equipment to produce Cannabis on a Commercial Scale were among other items seized.

A 60 yr old man was arrested for Possession with intent to supply Cannabis. He is currently in custody at a West London Police Station.

Our proactively has without doubt prevented the formation of a much larger enterprise on a commercial scale.
