Walkers raising funds for Crosslight Advice at a previous Move4Change event
August 5, 2026
Local residents are invited to lace up their walking shoes on Saturday 12 September for Move4Change, a family-friendly fundraising event supporting Crosslight Advice, the charity working to lift people out of poverty and financial crisis across west London.
Crosslight Advice provides vital, free support to some of the most marginalised people in society. Through comprehensive debt and benefits advice, money education, budgeting coaching, and holistic mentoring, the charity helps individuals regain stability, build financial resilience, and move towards a more secure future.
Move4Change offers participants a scenic 10km walk along the Thames Path, starting at St Paul’s Church in Hammersmith, heading to Chiswick, and looping back. The route is designed for all ages and abilities, making it an ideal day out for families, friends, and community groups who want to make a meaningful difference while enjoying one of London’s most beautiful riverside stretches.
After completing the walk, supporters will return to St Paul’s for a celebratory afternoon tea, complete with entertainment and a raffle featuring a range of prizes. It’s a chance to come together, celebrate the community spirit behind the event, and learn more about how their contributions help people facing debt and financial hardship.
The Aviva Community Fund will be matching every single individual donation made up to £250. The match funding campaign opens on 8 August and runs for six weeks only, giving supporters an opportunity to double the impact of their donation.
Funds raised through Move4Change play a crucial role in keeping Crosslight’s services accessible to those who need them most. With demand for debt advice and financial mentoring continuing to rise, every participant helps ensure the charity can reach more households struggling with rising costs and financial instability.
