Chelsea and Fulham MP Greg Hands has been named as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People on the Right.

The top 100 was compiled during the Conservative Party conference by the Daily Telegraph, which also predicted a bright future for our local MP, saying: " The need to accommodate Lib Dems may have prevented Hands’ shadow treasury spokesmanship being converted into a government job last year, but he has remained part of Team Osborne as the Chancellor’s loyal, well-regarded and capable Parliamentary Private Secretary.

" A devotee of both Thatcher and Reagan (he was born in the US and campaigned for Rudy Giuliani when he lived in New York), a ministerial red box ought to be his before too long."

Mr Hands shares this news in his latest e-bulletin, which also details his busy week of activities at the conference, where he:

Addressed the Conservative Party Policy Forum (CPF) on the future of the UK economy, answering questions

Addressed a fringe meeting run by McGrigors on “Local Government Finance- Are We Being Radical Enough?” together with H&F Council Leader Stephen Greenhalgh

Was a panellist at a fringe meeting of the Social Market Foundation (SMF) entitled " A nudge in the right direction – delivering better financial outcomes for customers".

Welcomed international visitors to the Conservative Party Conference from Germany, Ghana, Norway, Georgia and Romania.

Met in Manchester senior representatives of the Chemical Industry Association to discuss Government support for the industry

Mr Hands also achieved the Daily Mirror's Tweet of the Day award on October 3, with this message: " Arrived in Manchester. Just misdirected a man with a 'Kick Out theTories' sticker. I think he's walking now towards Stockport" !
