Make your own bauble for the Christmas treeFancy making your own unique glass bauble for your Christmas tree? Contemporary glass gallery Zest is  offering you the opportunity to make your own Christmas decoration on December 17 from 6 to 8pm.

Tickets to this event cost £25, and you can book your place by calling 020 7610 1900 or sending an email to corinne@zestgallery.com

Zest's exhibition All That Glistens is Glass is open until December 19, offering handmade glass baubles, plates and bottles which would make great gifts or decorations. The Gallery, in Roxby Place at the top of Seagrave Road is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am till 6pm.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

Westminster Cathedral Choir School will give a recital of classic Christmas carols in the Ground Floor Atrium of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on Thursday, December 17 at 1pm.


Santa Claus

On Sunday December 20, Fulham Palace will be visited by Father Christmas at 2.30pm, giving children the chance to meet him and tell him what they are wishing for. Tickets cost £2 per child and there is a Christmas gift for everyone. To find out more, call Fulham Palace on 020 7736 3233.

 

If you are shopping in Fulham Road this week, don't forget to vote in the Christmas window competition. Over 20 shops on the road between Parsons Green and Fulham Palace Road are taking part in the fun seasonal contest to produce the best-dressed window. You can vote until Fulham Road Christmas window competition

December 18 in the stores themselves or in Fulham Library.

Voters' names will be entered into a prize draw with a prize of I Love Fulham goodies contributed by all the stores.

Want to make sure the proceeds from your Christmas cards go to charity?  Visit the Cards for Good Causes shop in St John's Fulham church between 1pm and 5.30pm every day until December 17 to choose cards from over 25 local and national companies.

Maggie's Centre has a range of traditional cards, including this one, available from the centre by Charing Cross Hospital.

Charity cards are also on sale at Fulham's charity shops

Fulham Palace Garden Centre which gives all profits to to Fairbridge, the national charity supporting young people from disadvantaged areas, is selling a selection of real Christmas trees, plus decorations and a range of pewter gifts.

Looking for a special gift for a music lover? HMV has produced a very special limited edition 18 month calendar called My Inspiration, featuring celebrated pictures of some of our greatest rock icons and the songs/lyrics they have personally selected as being inspirational to them.
