• Buses – A Saturday service will run on New Year’s Eve. From 2pm, bus routes in Central London will be on diversion in preparation for London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks. On New Year’s Day there will be Sunday service.
• London Overground and DLR – There will be a special overnight service running on several London Overground routes with full details available at TfL's pafe on New Year's Eve travel. A weekday timetable will run on all routes with a Sunday start time on New Year’s Day.
• TfL Rail – There will be a Saturday service on New Year’s Eve. Service will return to normal on New Year’s Day. Trains will run throughout the night.
• Trams – There will be a Saturday service. A special all-night service will run every 30 minutes between Wimbledon and Beckenham Junction/New Addington.

South Western Railway (SWR) will continue to run an amended strike timetable on New Year’s Eve (Tuesday 31 December), with many services finishing earlier than normal.

Services running after midnight will run on some inner-suburban London routes to help take home passengers attending the Mayor of London’s annual firework celebrations.

An amended timetable will also run due to RMT strike action on New Year’s Day.

From On Tuesday 31 December and Wednesday 1 January 2020 (inclusive) there will be no charge for driving in the Congestion Charging zone.

On Thursday 2 and Friday 3 January, SWR will continue to run an amended timetable and passengers are urged to check before they travel on these days.

Despite these not being RMT strike dates, SWR will run an amended timetable to ensure that all those guards who did not work during 28 days of RMT strike action are properly refreshed in terms of all necessary safety activities.

With engineering work taking place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 January, the new timetable will kick off in earnest on Monday 6 January.

SWR say the new timetable will help provide 80 additional services a week, with improved journey opportunities across the network.
