New Look For Fulham's Riverside in 2011

Imperial Wharf Marina could mean more river commuter services

Fulham's view of the Thames has taken on a new look with the launch of a marina alongside upmarket riverside development Imperial Wharf.

And as well as providing private moorings, the new marina could bring more river services for Fulham commuters.

Imperial Wharf developer St George says the marina has over 600m of private mooring space and a separate private pier for embarking and disembarking passengers.

St George also claim this is London's first marine offering uninterrupted access to moorings, whatever the state of the tide, and adds that the marina has all the facilities boat owners are accustomed to, including water and electricity and even offers a retired Naval Commander as the resident pier master.

Chris Livett, who is Waterman to HM Queen as well as being one of four Directors of Imperial Wharf Marina Ltd says: " We are very proud to have opened this landmark facility at Imperial Wharf.

" London is fantastic from the river and we look forward to facilitating river commuter services from Imperial Wharf in the future and for boat owners to enjoy the freedom the new marina will provide at any time of tide."

If you have a boat and are looking for a parking space in SW6, you can contact the Pier Master on 07932 603284.
