Easter Family Fun at Fulham Palace
Springtime celebration on Sunday and Easter Trail on Tuesday
Fulham Palace is hosting a number of fun events over the Easter holidays, including a free spring celebration on Easter Sunday and a traditional egg trail.
Here's what's on:
Sunday 1 April, 11am-3pm - Springtime at the Palace.
Celebrate all things springtime at this Easter Sunday family activity day. With whimsical storytelling, a pop-up costumed photo booth and fantastic Georgian chocolate making workshops, you and your little ones are sure to be kept busy.
There will also be a range of fun arts and crafts activities for all ages – create a beautiful Easter wreath, try your hand at finger painting the trees of Fulham Palace and even make your own pet Emu puppet!
Joining in on the day will be Teddy’s Tune Time:
Hear Teddy’s tales on where he’s been and share some of his favourite toys from his trip. Teddy’s Tune Time runs every Thursday at Fulham Palace. Come and join him on Easter Sunday to sing his colour song, play musical instruments, pop some bubbles and dance too.
Tiny Toes Ballet:
Have a go at Tiny Toes Ballet ballet for their spring time adventure on Easter Sunday, and dance with the Very Hungry caterpillar & all his friends in the garden. Tiny Toes offers a programme that enables children to ‘learn through dance’ and develop each child’s innate love of movement and music in a fun, nurturing and creative way. This award-winning ballet programme, integrated with the EYFSC, will be running termly classes on Wednesdays at Fulham Palace. Suitable for 18 months to five and a half year-olds.
PaperBirds London:
Come and get creative with Paperbirds London at Springtime at the Palace on Easter Sunday. We will be decorating magnificent Easter crowns and making a beautiful fingerprint springtime picture! All ages welcome.
Leighton House Museum:
Step back in time to the Victorian era with the Leighton House Museum (the former home of the Victorian artist Lord Leighton (1830-1896), and explore the wonderful portraits and carte de visite photographs from their collection. Come and get dressed up in Victorian costumes and learn how to cut your own paper silhouettes! Suitable for all ages.
The Georgian chocolate making workshops take place at 11.30am and 1.30pm and cost

Monday 2 April, 12pm-3pm - Easter Trail
Fulham Palace's Museum and garden are full of clues, find them all and win a chocolate egg! Begin your trail in the Bishop Terrick Drawing Room, located within the Palace. £3 per child, no booking necessary.
Thursday 12 April, 12pm-3pm - Brick Fest
Help build the Fulham Palace of the future. Get up-close and celebrate the palace's traditional Tudor brickwork during these interactive sessions for all ages.
From live brick making and brick laying demonstrations by heritage experts to interactive wall building, object handling and architectural trails, there really is something for all ages.
A second Brick Fest will be taking place on 12 April.
Free and suitable for adults and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This event takes Place in the Tudor Courtyard.

Join Head Gardener Lucy Hart as you learn how to create beautiful plant supports using coppiced hazel brushwood from the Fulham Palace garden. You will even have the opportunity to take a fresh bundle of brushwood home to recreate baskets as an attractive feature for your own garden border.

Sunday 18 March, 1pm-3pm - Hands-on Archaeology
An opportunity to get up close and personal with archaeology at Fulham Palace, and learn more about the rich and varied history of this ancient site. This drop-in session is for archaeology enthusiasts of all ages!
This month’s theme is Building with the Tudors. As restoration work to our stunning Tudor brickwork commences, join us for an insight into the history of construction and its implications for our current project.
No prior knowledge is needed, as our capable team will talk you through our exciting displays and provide you with the necessary knowhow and an obligatory pair of gloves!

Friday 23 March, 2pm-3.15pm -Awaken your Garden for Spring
In this free interactive tour, Head Gardener Lucy Hart takes you on a journey of discovery through our garden in springtime. The tour includes a step-by-step guide to seed sewing, a short demonstration of brushwood staking baskets and an opportunity to ask Lucy for gardening tips and information.

Monday 5, 12, 19 and 26 and Tuesday 6,13, 20 and 27 March - 9.30am-10.30am
These fun and creative facilitated sessions are geared specifically to 2-4 year olds and their adults. ach week offers the chance to explore and learn together through a specific theme, with arts and crafts, storytelling and dressing up, games, gardening, singing and whole host of other delights! £5 per child, Each session costs £5 per child, click here to learn more and book.
The current exhibition, Fulham Palace Through Postcards, is also open daily until 15 April.
There was a national craze for postcards from 1898 to the end of the Great War in 1918, the so-called Golden Age of the Postcard. With up to six deliveries a day, postcards could be used to arrange meetings, much as we do by texting today. Picture postcards were produced as souvenirs covering every conceivable aspect of life and death and millions were sent through the post each week.
This exhibition surveys the variety of postcards from all periods relating to the Palace and explores what they can reveal about its history. It also includes embroidered postcards of the Palace and the garden, made by Fulham Palace volunteers, who took their inspiration from the silk cards produced during the Great War in France.
