A new pizza restaurant is set to open on Fulham Broadway in the premises formerly used by Mama’s Jerk and Sophia restaurants.

Zia Lucia has taken the lease for number 49 is launching its tenth branch shortly.

The chain was founded in 2016 by Italians Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D’Angelo who named their restaurants after Mr D’Angelo’s aunt back in Rome.

They already have a branch nearby on Hammersmith Road at Olympia London.

Zia Lucia claims to use four different types of slow fermented doughs based on ancient Italian tradition. One of the doughs used is gluten free.

The ground floor premises can accommodate up to 100 overs with seating for up to 20 outside.

A brochure published by an estate agent advertising the property indicated that rent and rates will cost the new tenant over £116,000 per annum with an additional service charge to pay.

An application (2024/00886/LAPR) has been made to the council for a premises licence that would allow opening from 11:30am to 11:30pm Monday to Saturday.
