Taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after blaze in veterans' flats
One man is in hospital and two other residents were treated at the scene after fire broke out in Sir Oswall Stoll Mansions in Fulham Road on Sunday evening, 30 July.
Emergency services, including the fire Brigade and London Ambulance service were called to the mansions, home to hundreds of veterans.
London Fire Brigade says that four fire engines and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a flat fire in Oswald Stoll Mansions at 7.46pm on Sunday.
Half of a three bedroomed flat on the first floor of the four floored block of flats was damaged by fire. One man was rescued by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus. He suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
A further two people were also treated at the scene.
The Brigade says the incident was over by 8.54pm.
Fire crews from Fulham, Chelsea, Kensington and Wandsworth fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
The Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions, a Fulham landmark containing 157 flats next to Chelsea Football Stadium, are part of the Stoll, which has been housing and helping vulnerable veterans since 1916.
