Police Continue to Appeal for Information after Murder in Fulham

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information following the murder of a 33 year-old woman in the Landridge Road area of Fulham on Saturday, 28 March.

A week after the murder detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command and officers from Hammersmith and Fulham were in area yesterday, Saturday April 4, appealing for witnesses in connection with the murder of Vanessa Santillan.

Officers spoke with a number of people in the local area, south of Fulham Road to the west of Munster Road.



Police say they launched a murder investigation after officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 9.30pm on Saturday, 28 March to the body of a woman found at a flat in Romily Court off Landridge Road, SW6.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination held at Fulham Mortuary gave the preliminary cause of death as injuries to the head and neck.

An incident room is open in Lewisham and detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command investigate.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation. He has been bailed to return on a date in late May pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Reeves, who leads the investigation, said: "We want to speak to anyone who saw Vanessa on Friday or Saturday. We need to know why this has happened and we want help from anyone who knew her while she was in London."
