Friends of Brompton Cemetery Host Annual Open Day

Offering free events in the chapel and guided catacomb tours on Sunday

 

The Friends of Brompton Cemetery are holding their popular Annual Open Day this Sunday 21 July, from 11am-5pm.

Admission is free and visitors can enjoy a varied programme, including:

Guided Tours in the 179 year old Grade One Listed Cemetery

Catacombs
A rare opportunity to visit the cemetery’s historic catacombs. Guided tours of the catacombs take place every half-hour from 11.30am until 4.30pm. Tickets £5.

The Cemetery
Tours take place on the hour every hour from 12 noon to 5pm. Tickets £5.

Specialist Tours
A Tree tour at 2.30pm. Free
Women buried in the cemetery at 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Free.

The Newly Refurbished Chapel

A variety of events including:

an all day exhibition showing works of students at The Heatherley's School of Fine Art

Storytime with Ann-Christina, offering free listening, learning.
drawing, drama, singing, and dancing for children aged three + at midday

Toby Brown's Earls Courtiers amateur dramatic group  at 2pm

Music from Lilith By My Side, an acoustic, harmony-heavy Americana duo at 3.30pm

Special guest appearance from Colin Thackery, winner of 2019 Britain's Got Talent after 3.30pm

Children's activities take place in the Chapel and in the open

There will be Welcome Desks and the North Lodge will be open for information
