Enjoy free attractions and tour the cemetery or catacombs
The Friends of Brompton Cemetery are holding their annual summer Open Day this Sunday, July 21 from 11am till 5pm, offering variety of introductory and themed tours, plus a rare opportunity to visit the cemetery's catacombs.
There are also many free attractions, with exhibitions in the Chapel, a display of birds of prey, and stalls selling refreshments, crafts, souvenirs and publications from groups including other Friends of London's Magnificent Seven historic cemeteries.
CEMETERY TOURS: Guided tours of the cemetery at 11.30, 12.45, 13.45, 14.30, 15.15, 16.00, each lasting about 70 minutes; suggested donation £5 per tour.
CATACOMB TOURS: Guided tours of one section of the catacombs at half-hour intervals between 11.00 and 17.00, each lasting about 25 minutes; suggested donation £3 per tour
