Family fun this week

Looking for ways to keep the kids amused during half term?

Fulham Palace Museum is running action packed Drama Workshops with dressing up, role play and lots of crazy games, from Monday February 16 - Wednesday February 18

at 1.30pm - 4.30pm each day.


By popular demand professional actors of mtproductions return with a new drama, Swimming with Miss Lawrence, a time traveller of 1908.

 

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16:  6 - 8 year olds

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 17:  9 - 13 year olds

Part 1
Using objects and costumes from the collections, learn about life in this wonderful old palace, once the home of the Bishop of London. Dress up for a fancy dress party in the past.
Break - bring a snack and a drink.


Part 2
Welcome Miss Lawrence, a time traveller who arrives to meet the children; do lots of great games and activities, ‘swimming’, running and tricks with her. Act out different scenes from the palace’s history. Take home a memento of the day.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18:  6 - 13 year olds


FINALE FOR ALL AGES ( no need to have come on another day)


Part 1
Prepare for a party at Fulham Palace, use handling objects and costumes
to dress as servants as well as guests of the Bishop.
Break - bring a snack and a drink


Part 2
Welcome Miss Lawrence, who arrives at the palace from 1908, she will attend a grand garden party to be organised by the servants. Play some party games with her - take home a memento of the day.


Cost - £10 per session and booking is essential.

At Stamford Bridge, home of  Chelsea Football Club there are daily tours with Stamford the Lion at 12pm every day until February 22. The tour will visit the dressing rooms, the press room, the tunnel, pitch-side and the Museum. There will be photo opportunities with Stamford throughout the tour and a free gift for every child.

The tour costs £15 and the tour can also be upgraded to include lunch at Frankie's restaurant for an additional £10 for adults and £6 for children. Call 0871 984 1955.

There is a half term Craft and Storytelling session for 4 - 11 year-olds at Fulham Library at 2.15, with West London author Lotte Moore. No booking required, just turn up.
