Have Your Say on Local Libraries

Speak up at special March events

Fulham residents are being invited to give council officials their views about our local libraries at two special events taking place this month.

The council says these views will help it to form its new strategy for libraries, as it plans the launch of its Love your Libraries campaign in spring,

The two events are at:

Sands End Library, on Tuesday March 24, 4pm - 5.30pm

Fulham Library, on Sunday March 29, 2pm -3.30pm

There will also be events in libraries in Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith and Barons Court.

Issues the council are keen to discuss with the public are opening hours, improving the physical environment, future events and activities and the focus of the library.

Cllr Paul Bristow, who will be attending some of the session, says: “We are looking forward to getting out and about and talking to people about what they would like to see in libraries. We are also keen to speak to people who do not use our libraries and to find out why that is the case.

“Our libraries are much more than places to just borrow books from and provide plenty of free resources during these tough economic times. They also provide plenty of support for children and families."

Residents will have a chance to comment further through a questionnaire that will appear in libraries and on the council's website.
