Parsons Green hosts Fulham's biggest summer event

Pop singer Laura Critchley, magicians, fire-eaters and Irish dancers are among the attractions at the Parsons Green Fair on the Green on Saturday July 4.

Parishioners from St Dionis Church began a small fair 18 years ago and have since seen it grow into a hugely popular annual event.

As well as Laura, fire-eater Nick Putz, the Fulham Brass Band and The Keys School of Irish Dancing will all be appearing at the fair, which organisers hope will raise £10,000 to be split between five local schools.

Businesses throughout the borough, including nearby pub Duke on the Green, are sponsoring the event, and 5,000 people are expected to attend.

The fair runs from noon till 5pm and as well as the live entertainment, there will be food, hundreds of stalls and a fun fair.
