Fulham's annual summer festival starts on Saturday

Here's what's on this launch weekend:

SATURDAY JUNE 29

Bric à Brac Fayre
Charity shops from Fulham will be displaying goods alongside
the usual bric a-brac market. Plus public information and safety stalls, face painting and children’s games. Music will be provided by Piper Entertainment.

Songs for Britain
Fulham Camerata, Fulham and Hammersmith Choral Society and the Fulham Children’s Choir join together for a concert of British music

Sports in Spanish
Teaching sports in Spanish to adults and children. A new class for children where they learn Spanish without even realising it!

Fulham’s Lion Tour
Come and visit the Lion houses, Fulham’s unique Peterborough Estate. The tour ends at iconic furniture shop SophistoCat in Wandsworth Bridge Road, where we hear the heart-warming story of the real-life lion Christian.

River Foreshore Archaeology Walk with the Thames Explorer Trust
See what you can find out and learn about the history of Fulham Palace and its relationship with the river.

Bat Walk
Bat walk around the gardens of Fulham Palace, led by John Tovey of the London Bat Group. Wear solid footwear and bring a torch. Meet at the pedestrian entrance to the Palace Grounds

Events still to come include include Jazz at Fulham Place, the Fair on Parson's green, cultural walks and talks and the Paggs Cup, a five a side football tournament run by local restaurant Il Pagliaccio, an American Beer Festival at the White Horse pub and an Open Day at Hammersmith and Fulham Archives and Local History Centre at The Lilla Huset on Talgarth Road.
