From 22 August to 2 September there is a one woman show written and performed by Leanne Devlin in her first professional show as a writer. She thinks that her dreary new job will be all about ‘cleanup in aisle four’ but love unexpectedly slides into her life.

Directed by Emma Copland and described as witty, wistful, and gushing with emotion, this story is a reminder that you can only really jump into love when you have both your feet firmly planted on the ground.

The show lasts 60 minutes without an interval.

“I am so excited to be bringing Slippery When Wet to London this summer,” says director Emma Copland. “It’s such a fun and cutting piece, perfect for a summer evening. It really explores the tension between society’s goals for us and our own dreams, but in a hilariously knowing way. We’ve set out to test the genuine strength it takes to know yourself against a backdrop of the youthful naivete of Leanne’s character.”

Tickets cost £10-£15 and can be purchased on the theatre’s web site.

Barons Court Theatre is offering free tickets to all Ukrainian passport holders for all of its productions. To take up this offer email info@barnoncourttheatre.com

The Barons Court Theatre is below the Curtain's Up Pub at 28a Comeragh Road, London W14 9HR.
