Club promises to open up new riverwalk and add community facilities
Fulham Football Club is consulting fans and local people after submitting a planning application for the redevelopment of the Riverside stand at its Craven Cottage home.
The application will take the Club’s current capacity to 30,000 seats and the club says further significant funds will be invested to open up the Thames River walk from Hammersmith to Putney for the first time in recent history.
You can see full details of the plans at the Craven Cottage Stadium Development website where people are also invited to offer their views on the proposed development.
The club is holding two exhibitions next week, on Wednesday January 25 and Saturday January 28 respectively, to showcase the final design submitted and provide feedback from the previous consultation. We will bring you full details of these events as soon as we have them.
Fulham FC announced in October that it intended to say put at Craven Cottage and develop its facilities and crowd capacity. At the time, Chief Executive Alistair Mackintoch sais: " We are confident that a redevelopment will improve the fans' matchday experience by enhancing the facilities, whilst remaining sympathetic to the design of this historic ground. Naturally our core family values, and the tradition of the football club, continue to be at the forefront of everything we do."
