|Health and Wellbeing Event in Parsons Green|
Moves, grooves and fundraising for the Stroke Association
Local Parsons Green dance teacher, Ali Juice (23), will be helping to host a health and wellbeing event at Alexander House on Friday April 24 from 6pm to 9pm, to raise vital funds for the Stroke Association.
Staff from Forever Living are bringing a summer fete to town. The free event will include healthy snacks, dance workshops and information about healthy living.
Ali, a supporter of the Stroke Association and an employee of Forever Living said, “I was really passionate to hold the event to make everyone aware of the impact a stroke can have on stroke survivors and loved ones. I think it’s really important for the community to know about small steps they can make to live a healthier and active lifestyle. Stroke is a devastating condition, and through our summer fate, I hope that together we can conquer stroke.”
Ali continues, “The night will be lots of fun! We’re not charging entry or asking anyone to pay for anything, instead we’re asking people to donate a little or a lot to the Stroke Association – a wonderful charity close to my heart.”
Sonia Timlett, Stroke Association coordinator said, “We are so thankful to Ali and her team for holding such a wonderful event that will help raise vital awareness of stroke. There are around 152,000 strokes a year in the UK – that’s one every three and a half minutes. It’s vital that people like Ali and the team are raising funds to ensure we can be there for even more families affected by stroke.”
