Fulham Road barbers Crew Experience are offering free haircuts and shaves for the homeless attending Glass Door homeless shelters in Fulham, Putney, Wimbledon and Barnes.

To be able to offer this service, Crew Experience are looking for additional barbers in the run-up to Christmas.

They tweeted @Crew_Experience: " Volunteers Wanted ❤️❤️❤️
Barbers,Hairdressers and a helpers wanted for few hours from 6pm till 8pm one evening a week.
To help support Homless charity. Venues are in London.

"Please if you have a chance to give back this a great opportunity to step In. Thank you. God bless."

Owner Sam Crew told our sister website PutneySW15.com: "I have always wanted to create something that would allow me to help others and give back to those less fortunate. I came up up with a mobile barbers concept and last year was fortunate to be able to create one.

"The Glass House charity allows me and the Crew team to deliver haircuts, hair washes and beard trims to those most in need. It’s a pleasure and honour to serve these people."

A spokesperson for Glass Door said, "We are lucky to be on the receiving end of much generosity from individuals and businesses in the community. The haircutting service provided by Crew Experience gave our guests the chance to feel pampered.

"Personal hygiene is vital for anyone's sense of well-being, and many of our guests work hard to look and feel clean and put together."

Glass Door, which is providing emergency night shelters for homeless people across West and South West London through the winter months, is welcoming donations from the community.
