Local arts craft and stationery company Perry’s Art + Office is holding a special 'Crafternoon' this Saturday, 13 July at 11am-3pm in aid of mental health charity Mind.

The Crafternoon will offer fun art and craft activities for all ages at Perry’s Art & Office, an an independent, family-run business at 777 Fulham Road, which has been serving local residents for over 30 years.

Perry's Art + Office says everyone in Fulham  is invited to pop in and try their hand at some arts and crafts. For a small fee, they can enter the workshop area and have a go at creating your own masterpiece.

There will also be some yummy food on offer and a raffle pwith generous prizes kindly donated by local businesses. All ages are welcome and no skills are necessary, this is all about having fun, taking a break from it all and raising money for an incredible cause.

The business says it has has seen the positive benefits art can have on people’s mental health and wellbeing, whether it's young children doing their first art projects or adults pursuing new hobbies in later life.

Marketing Director, Priya Chandé says: "The Crafternoon event in aid of Mind is the perfect opportunity for us as a business to bring people in the area together, get talking and have some fun, whilst raising awareness and funds for an important issue that is close to our hearts."

Karen Bolton, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at Mind, says: "We’re really hoping
people will support us by gettng involved with Crafternoon. It’s the perfect excuse to spend time with family and friends and, even better, it’s a great way to boost mental wellbeing.

"It can be very rewarding and relaxing to create something from scratch. Every penny raised will make a huge difference - just £21 could keep Mind’s online support community, Elefriends, running for one hour."

Visitors can also pop into the local Mind shop, which is just a few yards away at 759 Fulham Road.
