On Sunday August 14, 140 international cyclists race down Fulham Road for the London-Surrey Cycle Classic, a 140 km (87 mile) race which will take the riders from The Mall through the streets of south west London to Surrey and back again.

The race is part of London Prepares, a series of test events for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Local people have a chance to grill Transport for London (TfL) and Olympic bosses (LOCOG) on the fallout from the event at a drop-in session to be held at Fulham Town Hall on Fulham Broadway on Thursday, July 7, from 2pm till 5pm.

Key facts:

  • The entire length of Fulham Road, Fulham High Street and Putney Bridge Approach will be closed from 4am on Sunday, August 14.
  • To enable roads to be opened safely after the event, they will need to be cleaned and barriers removed - this should be achieved by 3pm.
  • You will not be able to park your car on Fulham Road, Fulham High Street or Putney Bridge Approach on Sunday, August 14.
