On Saturday May 28, Sainsbury's in Townmead Road is hosting John Lamping and other representatives of the Sarah Lamping Memorial Fund, who will be raising funds for Leuka, a charity which supports research into the causes and treatment of leukaemia and other blood disorders.

John is the father of Sarah, a briliant scientist who died last year in Hammersmith Hospital after suffering from leukaemia for nine months.

This follows last Saturday's visit from representatives of the charity Help for Heroes, who raised almost £2,000 from sales of merchandise and donations from shoppers.
