 Traffic in the east of Fulham has returned to normal at 2.30pm on Thursday, September 13 with all closures now lifted.

Traffic remains slow moving on Fulham Road in both directions at Edith Grove, the scenes of a traffic accident this morning, but traffic southbound on Earls Court Road has returned to normal and Chelsea embankment has also returned to normal.

Earlier, m otorists travelling east on Fulham and King's Road and surrounding areas are facing severe delays at lunchtime on Thursday September 13 as police investigate an accident which took place this morning at the junction of Fulham Road and Kings Road.

Reports on Twitter say that a girl cyclist was knocked down by a lorry, and on the London Fixed-Gear and Single-Speed Forums, a witness said: " Came across a nasty collision between a female cyclist and a HGV this morning. Bike was wrecked, looked like the rear wheel bore the brunt.

" Spoke briefly to one of the police officers at the scene who said it was a 'survivable accident'. Hope he was right and that whoever you are, you heal up soon."
