Fulham Broadway Station is now open again after being evacuated during the Monday morning rush hour.

The station was closed and a fire engine rushed to the scene after a fire alarm went off around 8.30am.

Commuters were frustrated at being turned away, but the station was reopened 15 minutes later after the cause was investigated.

A member of staff at the station apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers but added: " There was a fault which caused the fire alarm to go off, and that had to be investigated."
