Tesco and developer Barton Finch have submitted plans for a mixed use scheme on the west side of Fulham High Street, north of All Saints Church.

The scheme, designed by Collado Collins, will comprise more than 37,000 sq ft of retail space, around 60 flats, parking and a "rooftop meadow" above the retail and basement parking area.

James Wiggam, corporate affairs manager at Tesco, says:

" Alongside Barton Finch, Tesco has worked hard with Collado Collins to fully engage local people.

" In proactively working with the community we have brought forward a complex project that effectively reflects the sensitive location.

" The proposals integrate very well into the High Street and provide a much needed Community Building for All Saints Church; in addition to bringing employment and much needed regeneration to this end of Fulham High Street."

Roy Collado, partner at Collado Collins, says: ‘We are very pleased with the scheme we have submitted, which is responsive to its surroundings whilst maintaining a clean and modern frontage to the road.

" The project has been a great example of consultation in action. We have proactively engaged in meetings and workshops with the local planning team, English Heritage, local residents and business owners. The result is, in my view, a scheme that has been improved as it has progressed and one in which everybody involved can rightly claim a stake."
